Accessibility Statement
Last updated: February 2026
EV Mods Sweden strives to make our website accessible to everyone, regardless of disability. This statement describes how our website evmodssweden.se complies with applicable accessibility requirements.
1. About Accessibility
Digital accessibility means that websites and digital services must be usable by all people, including persons with disabilities. The EU has established accessibility requirements through several legal acts:
- Web Accessibility Directive (EU) 2016/2102 — sets requirements for accessibility of public sector websites and apps.
- European Accessibility Act (EU) 2019/882 — extends accessibility requirements to private e-commerce services from June 2025.
As an e-commerce business within the EU, EV Mods Sweden is covered by the European Accessibility Act and we actively work to meet its requirements.
2. European Accessibility Act (EAA)
The European Accessibility Act (EAA), formally Directive (EU) 2019/882, entered into force on 28 June 2025 and requires e-commerce services to be accessible to persons with disabilities. In Sweden, the EAA is implemented through the Act on Accessibility Requirements for Products and Services.
The EAA requires, among other things, that:
- Websites and web applications must be perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.
- Information must be available through multiple sensory channels (sight, hearing).
- User interfaces must be navigable with keyboard and screen readers.
- Text content must be readable and understandable.
3. Technical Standard
We use the following standards as targets for our accessibility:
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA — Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, published by W3C. Level AA is the level required by both the Web Accessibility Directive and the EAA.
- EN 301 549 — the harmonised European standard for accessibility requirements for ICT products and services, which references WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
Our website is built with semantic HTML, accessible colour contrasts, ARIA attributes for interactive elements, and support for keyboard navigation.
4. Known Limitations
Despite our active efforts, there are parts of the website that are not yet fully accessible:
- Snipcart shopping cart widget — The shopping cart is provided by the third-party vendor Snipcart and loads as an external widget. We have limited ability to influence its accessibility. Snipcart states they work according to WCAG 2.1, but we cannot fully guarantee that all interactions in the checkout flow meet Level AA. If you experience difficulties completing a purchase, please contact us and we will assist you.
- Product images — Some product images may lack descriptive alt texts. We are continuously working to improve image descriptions.
5. Report Issues
If you experience accessibility issues on our website, we would like to hear from you. Contact us and we will try to resolve the issue as soon as possible:
